ATS Instruction 14
ATS Instructions is the ATC bible, instructing how to control. It is a gathering of law documents that sets the required standards.  

 ATS instructions will tell you: 

 

 Rules concerning controlling 

 General laws concerning controlling, such as airspace, clearances, etc. 

 General approved Phraseology 

 

 ATS Instructions will NOT tell you: 

 

 Local regulations 

 Tips and tricks 

 Anything VATSIM related 

 

 These documents are long and tedious, so we have done you a favor and highlighted all that is considered relevant for VATSIM. 

 The documents should be studied as you are waiting to commence Pre-Training (1st Stage). Later once you start training the Pre-Training course will reference these documents from time to time.
